However, there are a lot of background instruments that aren't (easily) heard by most people, and one of my goals was to let those come out more. My first attempt at this song was almost finished, then I decided to scrap it because I wasn't happy with it.. I ragequit for a while afer that, and a little later I decided to start again from scratch, and this is the result! My PC was starting to show it's age during the making of this, I guess I'll have to consider upgrading pretty soon! Also, I finally learned what compression and stereo imaging does! This is the most ambitious recording project I've attempted to date, with a twenty part choir and six lead vocalists. It took six hours to record, a further six hours to mix, then seven hours to record and stitch together the video (yeah, this one's lip-synched - I'm not *completely* insane). All up that's 19 hours of work, not including render time for the video. I've put a lot of work into it and I'm very proud of how it's turned out! I actually recorded the audio for this back in late February when I was home over the holidays, but I didn't get time to mix it until the past week or so. I'm glad I'm finally able to put it up! (As I'm writing this the export from Premiere just finished and I noticed a few of the choral tracks are way out of sync. Clearly SOMETHING doesn't want me to upload this, but I WILL NOT BE DEFEATED! *spends another hour fixing it then cues up a second three-hour render*) I said it in the note at the end, but seriously big thanks go to Haeph for his help with the choir tracks. He's a way better producer than I am and his feedback on the mix off him at different stages really helped the final product. Also, I just want to point this <b>...</b>

University partners Black Dyke Band returned to Leeds Met for a weekend feast of music. Friday's inaugural lecture by Professor Nick Childs is now available to view online. Study at Leeds Met: bit.ly The Black Dyke Brass Festival gave students, staff and partners the opportunity to listen to music from the most famous brass band in the world. Highlights of the weekend's events included a live broadcast from Saturday's gala concert at Gandhi Hall, Headingley Campus, which was streamed over the internet, and available to watch via the Leeds Met website. The concert included Black Dyke Band performing live to the film of Paul Lovatt-Cooper's Immortal and Rubbing Shoulders With Champions, Philip Harper's Willow Pattern, Philip Wilby's Euphonium Concerto and Peter Graham's Harrison's Dream. On Friday, visiting Professor Nick Childs delivered an illustrated inaugural lecture at Gandhi Hall, which featured brass music from 150 years ago, and is now available to view online. Tomorrow, the festival will culminate in a gala performance from Black Dyke Band, featuring special guests the Yorkshire Youth Brass Band, and a recital of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture. Remix of Rainbow Dash's part in "At The Gala." So as you may know, I like to experiment with different genres when it comes to writing songs; this is my first attempt at Electro House/Glitch. It was fun to make but it took way too long... (About 40hrs total.) I blame the Navy... (Who the heck am I gonna blame when I retire?!) Anyhoo, I had a lot of fun coming up with sounds for this! Unlike "Proud to be a Brony" and "Take me to Equestria," I started from scratch with each patch, adding oscillators and fiddling with knobs until I got a sound that I didn't absolutly hate. I really had a hard time settling on the name though! (Between "Dash is Dreaming," "Dash's Dream," "Shower of Diamonds," "The Awesome Song of Epic Awesomeness,") So I ended up doing what many do and gave it two names, (it's ok though, cause the other name is in parentheses.) Am I rambling? Yeah, I am huh... I tend to do that... Wanna know something cool? The Woolly Bear Caterpillar can freeze solid in the winter and come back to life when it thaws out! 'At The Gala' from 'My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic' on Guitar Hero 3 PC. Download Chart: tinyurl.com In the beginning of November 2011 I started to watch this series because of how many people kept talking about it, and to my surprise, it was downright awesome, I haven't enjoyed a series like this in a long time! This song is from the last episode of the first season and it's just beautiful. I didn't find any charts on this song, except a vocal chart, so I went ahead and made one. It wasn't the easiest chart I've made but it sure was one the most fun songs I've ever charted. Because no verse was like the other, so it all changed in instruments throughout the song. Now, if you haven't noticed yet, there's a vocal track in this video (Rock Band style) and I do not take credit for that chart, it's made by TrotPilgrim. You can see his video on it here: tinyurl.com - I got permission by him to use it. However, I only used the vocal track part of his video. What you see in my video is actually a mix of two backgrounds, one of them being the original musical from the show in HD and the other being TrotPilgrim's cropped vocal track placed on top of it. It may look weird and unfitting, well that's mostly because both background videos were in different FPS: TrotPilgrim's video was in 30 fps while the show is at 23.976 fps.
